We sell these mushroom varieties in three different forms for our wholesale mushroom farm customers across the USA. Learn more about each of these options to determine which is right for your farm.

Sterile Mushroom Blocks

Our mushroom blocks are all prepped and ready to go! The blocks consist of a growing medium that has been inoculated with mushroom spawn. Just expose the sealed blocks to air and you’ll soon see ‘shrooms! These are similar to our at-home grow kits. This is one of the most reliable methods for growing gourmet mushrooms, with some blocks even producing a second flush of mushrooms.

Grain Spawn

Spawn is basically the equivalent of a mushroom “seed.” Grain spawn is made from sterilized grains that have been inoculated with a live culture. Taking grain spawn and turning it into gourmet mushrooms is a more involved process than using an all-in-one mushroom block, but it’s how many mushroom farms are able to produce a high volume of mushrooms. The grain spawn must be mixed into another substrate to produce high yields.
